About the book:
David Elliott’s third book of poetry,聽Through the Silence,聽gives the reader a meditative, tranquil experience rarely seen in poetry today. Rising through traditional haiku, non-traditional haiku, haiku-esque longer forms, and lyrical poems, Elliott’s聽voice, grounded in precise perceptions, resonates within the reader聽and rises聽toward a quiet intensity upon each reading. The poems鈥 many subjects and concerns range from the natural world to family, friendship, travel, language, and poetry itself. This book must be lived and experienced by all who seek meaning through the silence.
David Elliott is the author of two previous books of poetry: Wind in the Trees and Passing Through. His poetry has also appeared in several anthologies, including Haiku in English: The First Hundred Years, The Haiku Anthology, Haiku Moment: An Anthology of Contemporary North American Haiku, Got Verse, and Palpable Clock: 25 Years of Mulberry Poets. He is Professor Emeritus at 糖心动漫vlog College in La Plume, Pennsylvania, where he taught Creative Writing, Literature, Composition, and the History of Jazz.
